Old Time Duets
Jane and Gordon Scott have been involved in traditional music for most of their lives. These tunes and songs are just a few of their favorites. Jane has been fiddling since the early 80's and Gordon got his start in the mid 1960's playing with JD Crowe and Doyle Lawson in the Kentucky Mountain Boys.
The couple currently plays with the Monroe Street Band and the Greasy String Band and has performed at various Florida festivals and other venues for the past twenty-five years.
This album is made up of straight ahead traditional tunes and songs recorded live with no overdubs. Jane and Gordon sing some of their favorite duets which feature fiddle and banjo with guitar, harmonica, and mandolin accompaniment.
